Crich Tramway Village – MuBu Audio Trail for young people
Crich Tramway village is working with Highfields Performing Arts School in Matlock to create audio trails for the street scene at Crich Tramway Museum.
Writer Linda Kempton will facilitate scriptwriting workshops with a group of young people from the school, to develop an audio trail for families and school visitors that can be downloaded from the website.
About Linda Kempton
Linda Kempton is an award-winning children’s author whose books have been translated into many languages. Her first foray into writing for theatre resulted in winning the East Midlands Playwriting Competition in 2003, and her monologue, The Decisive Moment, was performed by New Perspectives in 2009 as part of their, ‘Dream Up’ competition.
Writing has brought many interesting opportunities, including an East Midlands Arts writer’s exchange to Jamaica, working as Writer-in-Residence in a men’s high security prison and teaching in a variety of settings.
Linda Kempton was born in Derby and has lived all her life in Derbyshire.
